Victoria Sampler stitching on linen

Some stitchers may look at this and so oh cross stitch, I don’t do cross stitch.  But Victoria Sampler charts are often different and many include all kinds of different stitches.  Stitches that needle pointers might be familiar with, or more often those with a crewel or embroidery background.  However in this day when cross over between techniques is becoming the norm if you like the style then its worth looking into whether you “do cross stitch” or not so long as you enjoy a little stitching challenge now and again.  Victoria Sampler is know for using fine threads, ribbons, beads and embellishments.

Threads include Caron Waterlillies, Gloriana 12 ply silk, Needlepoint Inc. silk, YLI silk ribbon, beads and tiny heart buttons.  The color is like the most gorgeous hydrangea ever.

Charts include the footstool pincushion, scissor case and scissor fob.  Also included are extensive finishing instructions for professional results.  Chart, solid wood pincushion footstool and thread accessory pack; everything you need except the fabric.  Kit price $68.00.  Need fabric?  Got that too, one 12″ x 12″ piece of 28 count linen ($7.50) will suffice for all 3 items.

Floral Etui Kit

I really like the design or this piece, and how it opens up into such a useful size.  All kinds of stitching here including billions and wrapped spiders.  Notice how each pot is just a little different from the others?

Threads include 3 shades of Gloriana 12 ply silk, Silk Mori, Needlepoint Inc silk, Soie d’alger, beads and round buttons.  Chart and thread embellishment kit $59.00 Not included, 28 count linen.  Etui requires one 16″ x 14″, fob 4″ x 4″, and lining fabric.  Need fabric?  Just ask 28 count flax cashel is available at 5 cents per sq inch.
