Have no doubt that Leigh Richardson is an artist. A real artist. This is a magnificent piece and is on 13 count, imagine that with all this detail. This is a spectacular feat and my customer is so ready to get started. Might tweak the threads tomorrow a bit, currently its a mix of Silk n Ivory, Vineyard Silk, Gloriana 12 ply silk, Stardust, Impressions, Pepper Pot, Planet Earth 6 ply, Threadworx floss and Threadworx perle, a bit of Splendor some DMC floss, Weeks Dye Works floss, Gentle Arts and Accentuate for adding sparkle here and there. Might look at adding some bijoux and some silk lame braid or two. This is maybe the 4 or 5th custom Leigh has done for Jeanne my customer over the years, I’ve never met Jeanne but she’s one of my many beloved long distant customers I feel privileged to work with.
Jerusalem Globe on 13 count. Stitched in Pepper Pot Silk, Planet Earth Silk, Planet Earth Opal, Kreinik braid, Kreinik ribbon and Fyre Werks. To be made into a Tallit bag for a December Bar Mitzvah. Requests accepted. The painter and I have spoken and thought the option to do this in a multitude of colors would be such fun and rich kaleidoscope for the eyes.

Thanks for looking and letting me share. I’m always surprised when my walk in customers say oh Wow you do custom! Sure I always have; no I don’t have a staff painter and coincidently all 3 of the above pieces were painted by 3 different artists I use for custom. How do I choose? much depends on subject, turn around time, preferred style etc.
