Looking for a new project for the winter evenings ahead? On the spur of the moment the Nimble Needle received a trunk show by Lee Needle Arts, a favored designer by many for their quality and reasonable prices. Their different styles runs the gamut appealing to nearly everyone. But one thing is consistent ~ ease to stitch and pleasing colors without fussy shading. Prefer to stitch something “useful”. Lee is widely known for their leather pieces that offer mostly small but include medium size projects that can be easily completed, are self finishing (I can help too) and make great (functional) gifts too. Trunk show is now through January 31st. 20% off on all Lee purchases including new orders.
Full size this piece is about 16″ x 36″ Companion piece available too.
One of a collection of Vogue ladies by Lee.
This is a close up of the nylon shopping bag / tote / generous handbag by Lee. The handsome Beaver is by Phillipa Turnbull and is taken from the Traquair House circa 1500’s. Lee offers many inserts that are less surprising and equally as good looking. I just happened to have this charming canvas in the shop. Those not familiar with this particular bag by Lee, its soo nice in person. Leather trim and a great usuable piece. The material is similar to that of luggage and is available in this khaki-olive and black; both have brown alligator trim.
Next coming Thursday, January 15th is the monthly Third Thursday stitch-In. 6:30 – 9:00 pm Your welcome to bring whatever you may wish to work on. Looking forward to seeing new and familiar stitchers. Wishing everyone a very healthy and blessed 2009.
